Why Two Locking Systems

A magnet alone can slide sideways under vibration - on a bike over broken road, that is exactly the movement that shakes a phone off. A suction cup alone loses grip on a textured case. Using both means the magnets hold it flat and the vacuum stops it sliding, which is how it reaches 4.5kg of hold rather than the half-kilo a plain magnetic band manages.
