Clip Light or Ring Light?

A clip light wins on convenience: it lives on the phone, sets up in a second, and travels in a pocket. A ring light gives more output and that even circular catchlight in the eyes, but needs a stand and a surface. If you take a lot of video calls, film short clips away from a desk, or want light in a hotel room or car, the clip is the better tool. For a fixed setup at home, one of our ring lights will do more.
