The YM-S60 is a 60W handheld COB fill light designed to imitate daylight, built around a CRI 95+ integrated COB chip. CRI 95+ is the spec that separates a usable video light from a cheap one: it means skin tones, clothing and product colours render close to how the eye sees them, instead of the flat greenish cast you get from low-CRI LED panels. It runs 3.5 to 4 hours on its built-in battery, so you can shoot outdoors or at an event with no mains socket in reach.

How to Use It

Press and hold the knob to switch the light on or off. A short press cycles between colour temperature, brightness and burst mode, and turning the knob adjusts the value. On the display, L means brightness and H means flicker mode. When you first turn the knob you will see four L's — keep rotating another two or three turns and the light comes on.
